Palo Santo

Palo Santo is Spanish for Holy Wood.

Found in the tropical forests of South America -  most notably Peru - Palo Santo belongs to the same family as Frankincense and Myrr. Used for incense, aromatic oil and indigenous medicine, its energetically cleansing and healing smoke may also be used to smudge a person or room for the purpose of releasing negative energies and drawing in positive ones.

What’s truly magical about Palo Santo is the way in which it gifts us with its oils - it only begins to develop its essential essence long after it has fallen in the forest and lain on the ground (approx. three to four years later).

USE: Cleanse energies by burning specialized herbs like sage and palo santo, for the purpose to clear a person or space and to call in fresh new energies.  This ancient practice was adopted from North American Indigenous Tribes as the most effective way to clear out negative energy from objects, surroundings and people.
